29th May 1989 - the first Horace strip was published
-
You do know you're going to have to do all these topics again, don't you.
Actually, if only the calendar worked this way. We could have pre-prepared posts ready to appear at a certain date.
-
This is eerie. Avatars missing. Mince gone AWOL. Roger's gone too. It's like the Marie Celeste!
-
Okay, I've no idea what's going on with everyone else, but probably because I haven't emptied my cache in a while (no, that's not a euphemism), I see everything as it always was.
Roger posted only yesterday, and Mince threw on some inane drivel not that long ago as well. The Marie Celeste appears to be in full steam from here (yes, I know she was a sail ship - that was a euphemism).
-
From were Im looking the Marie Celeste has floundered on rocks and is sinking fast. this is not a euphemism.
-
Mince Spy an occasional feature, exposing Mince and Peter as the same person.
Mince, you missed off the question mark in your own post, and as Peter you remembered to misspell "where". you left off the apostrophe in "I'm", used "floundered" instead of "foundered", did not capitalise the "t" at the beginning of a sentence, yet spelled "euphemism" perfectly.
-
It's still not the 29th May yet, so how come we've posted the 20th anniversary already?

Okay then, put money on it.
-
Malc, Tarks used the e word in the post before Peter's, so all Peter had to do was copy. Proves nothing, I know, but I felt compelled to say it anyway.

Do you mind? I want him to bet money on this.
-
i agree let him put his money were his finger is.
-
Right. Twenty million pounds. Sterling.
-
Okay, answer these questions...
1) Do you live in a tin with a ring-pull lid?
2) Are you hideously unattractive to women?
3) Do you secretly envy Roger, Tarquin, Diane, Peepmaster, and the other top creative people on this board?
4) Would you give your right fin to be as intelligent as everyone else on this board?
5) Do you delight in reprimanding normal people when their grammar and spelling might not be totally correct?
-
Answers to the questions are as follows:-No No No No No
-
That's what Mince would say. Correctly spelled, down to the colon (though the dash is superfluous, it is not incorrect).
I rest my case. Pay the dosh direct into my RBS account please, Mince.
-
My usual 10% fee will suffice, Malcolm.

(The a)nswers to (each of?)the questions are (is) as follows:-No No No No No
Each of the 'No's should have had a full stop after them!
-
Not unless each "No" is the end of a sentence or denotes a definite pause.
-
Not unless each "No" is the end of a sentence or denotes a definite pause.
But each 'No' must be the end of a sentence because the next 'No' begins with a capital letter...

Has anyone ever seen Mince and Peter in the same room at the same time?

Yes, a thousand times yes. Well 5.

Vultures answer is the tie breaking answer Malc.
The money can be sent via Roger as i don't want begging letters from all on here.
-
Mince, you could have set that up, arranging for some Wilfrid Brambell lookalike, and introducing him to Vulch as "Peter".
I didn't just sail up the Clyde on a banana boat, you know.
-
You did not expect it did you.
If a certain female from the states can get on she could collaborate Vultures story.

"collaborate" is proof enough. I'm just not that funny.

Has anyone ever seen Mince and a bird in the same room at the same time?

Peter, I think the word you are looking for is "corroborate."
Yes, I have seen Peter and Mince in the same room. They don't look alike. Peter is the handsome, genteel one.
Peter has seen Mince and me in the same room. Mince and I are very obviously not the same person. I hope that clears up any confusion that I am Mince in disguise. I was, however, Calypso.

I have seen Peter and Mince together in the same room - I agree with Feather/Calypso's description of Peter.
I have also seen Mince and Feather/Calypso together in the same room - they are definitely NOT alike!
-
It doesn't matter if you've seen them in the same room at the same time anyway, it's about who is posting these messages.
The "collaborate" thing is a deliberate comedy red herring, not the ramblings of a dementia sufferer who has to be fed pre-chewed food, as Mince has often referred to his dad in private emails to me.

Obviously I haveseen Mince and Vulture together in the same room. They are definitely NOT alike. Vulture is the pretty, gracious, thoughtful one.

Thanks, Feather, but you really should get your eyesight tested.

An odd thought just went through my head... 'This is starting to look like a game of Cluedo now. We've got the players. We've got the rooms.'
If it gets any more complicated, it will look like one of those cryptic puzzles.

I think it's Peepmaster, in the library, without a brain.

Better than being a Pilch, in tomato sauce, in a can.

What is the difference between Mince and Pilch, in tomato sauce, in a can?

I don't think so.
