Is there any interest in this worldwide community to show our locations on Google Earth.
I don't expect everyone to give their exact locations (I do not have cruise missile or snooperscope technology), but it might be nice to have a better idea of where we all are.
Not knowing how to pass pushpin locations from Google Earth, other than via email, I have opted for the standard Lat/Long coordinates.
You can find me at 50 50' 12" N , 1 53' 05" W = sitting in the middle of a football pitch (well, at least I can see it from my home.)
Any other takers? (go on, you know you want to :-X)

I've only worked Google Earth using an address and postcode. How do you use co-ordinates?

I found you, Bill - more right midfield than centre.
This is as much as you're going to get from me...

Man that google earth is detailed.....The "You Are Here" sign is way beyond my depth of thinking though.

Jack's photo reminded me of a sketch from the 'Meaning of Life', a strangely underrated Python film:

That song has always been a favourite of mine, Rob. Eric Idle at his best.

Yes, a stunning song.

Whoosh! Bill, did you feel that?

I'd feel happier about giving details of my home location if the title of the thread wasn't "Target Identified".

At least it got you looking at the thread. I did say I wasn't armed, and to prevent anyone else identifying your location , just put the Town centre or something else. But be a little more accurate than some of the other entries.

Google ought to give you some forewarning of when they're going to take pictures, especially Street View. It must have been a hot day when the camera came round our street. The garage door is open slightly (suppose should be grateful it wasn't fully open) and the front window is open with the curtains drawn - surprised son's foot isn't hanging out of it as that's how he used to sit at his desk next to the window. Car's in the driveway (they do blank out the numberplate) and all in all it looks very untidy.
I think we had a similar topic quite a while back and I took some captures of our location:
