Roger, do you think the Beau Peep strip you write now is very much different than it was for the strips in the first ten books?
-
Oh, yes. It would be strange if the style HADN'T changed over 37 years! Apart from me simply getting older, outside influences have come and gone over that period. I would say that the humour remains similar but, for example, my scripts are a lot less wordy than they were in the early days. But let's face it, we're ALL going to change over four decades, regardless of occupation. I'm sure you annoy your students in a different way!
-
For example, you said there were only so many ways you could have Mad Pierre being mad. I guess what I am asking is whether you have had to move to or concentrate on other locations, characters, themes, and that the "story" of Beau Peep is now different or wider than when you started.
I don't think I have read much recent Beau Peep, so I don't know.
-
You haven't read any recent Beau Peep? Oh, you should! Doctor Who's in it now!

Oh, that's low!
Lower than a snakes piles.
But rather amusing. ;D

By the time I have enough time to respond to anything, it's usually gone way off subject!
So.....Doctor Who has Snake Piles and is now in Beau Peep......I'd say it's changed!

It's fast and furious on this notice board. We can't wait around for slow coaches.
