Remember that? Well, it looks like it may debut this summer in the North of Scotland. I'll keep you up to date with any news I hear.
For those of you who have forgotten all about it, I'm sure there a selection of snippets from the show somewhere in this section.
-
Actually, I think you may have to go to YouTube and type in "Beau Peep---the musical snippets."

Here you go:

Cheers, Mincey.
-
I'd charge you for that but, well, it's just copy and paste.
-
Woohoo (y)
Keep us informed Roger and I'll think about getting my passport renewed in order to go up there to see it ;D
-
Pick me up on the way, Rob! Apparently, 'Bananaman, The Musical' went down a storm in ThatLondon in December/January, and I missed it. This will more than make up for that. Look forward to hearing more, Roger. Coach party!!!

The show will have it's WORLD premiere in Elgin on the 7th of June for a three night run. I'm absolutely devastated that, for family reasons, I won't be able to attend. However, there is optimism about it moving elsewhere to a bigger venue at a later date and I'm desperate to get there. I genuinely love the music and, fingers crossed, it will be a success. The guys involved, who previously wrote a critically acclaimed musical that was raved about by The Scotsman, the country's top broadsheet, have put in a huge amount of work to get the production on stage. I've been told that the show will be captured on video and that I will be given a copy. I'm sure that, with a LITTLE technical help, I will be able to share it with you all. Particularly Diane. I'm guessing you won't make it from Canada for the Elgin show?
-
Right - I'm up for the opening night. Anyone else?
-
Gee, do I want to drive for eight hours to see a musical?
-
Look, it's only about five and a half hours to my house...I'll drive the rest. Sheesh!
-
Two and a half hours in a car with you. Hmmmm! Can I wear noise-cancelling headphones?
-
So long as they have a matching gob gag, no problem.
-
I'm told the first night went down spectacularly well. A full house and a standing ovation!
I really hope the production moves on later in the year. I can't wait to see it.
-
Yes, I've read a few rave reviews on Facebook (for those on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Beau-Peep-A-Musical-in-the-Making-120835412078260/ (https://www.facebook.com/Beau-Peep-A-Musical-in-the-Making-120835412078260/) ). Unfortunately, my planned road trip to Elgin on Thursday for the opening night was scuppered by other more pressing demands on my time at the last minute, and I had to miss out. Sounds like I missed a real treat.
This from one of the key players on the Facebook page, however: "A massive thank you to everyone who came and supported our fabulous show!! You came, you saw and we rocked!!! We had an amazing cast and crew and so much love and support from people far and wide!!! So what now I hear you cry......well we will just have to wait and see.......😉👍🤗"
Perhaps plans are already afoot. Keep watching, Folks - the minibus is on hold...
-
Just to let you know folks that we got a standing ovation every evening of the show. It went down an absolute storm. It was a fantastic experience working with such a talented bunch of actors and musicians and Kenny songs are swimming around in my head. You can see some work in progress in facebook Beau Peep a musical in the making. I had great pleasure in playing Egon. Cheers
-
Yep, standing ovations on all three nights. Although I didn't make it to Elgin (and I'm still really upset about that), I was treated to an impromptu performance over the phone on Saturday night at 11.45! The cast had got together for an after-show party and decided to give me a ring and a song. It was brilliant with perfect harmonies, even at that time of night!
Can't wait till it surfaces again.
-
Welcome, Egon! We were obviously posting at the same time. Look forward to seeing you in the future.
-
Welcome to the board, Egon. Perhaps you could tell us more about how you became involved in the show.
-
Elgin is an anagram of my name. That’s cool. 8)
-
Hello, stranger!
-
Hello, stranger!
..0 You're not very good at anagrams, are you, Roger?
-
Oh, I hardly ever visit the "Just a Fort" board so am just seeing this now. How cool was it that Beau Peep is made into a musical ;D
When you think about it there have been a lot of re-makes lately - Dad's Army for example. Maybe Beau Peep will make it onto the big screen too!
This musical can only help with that dream.

During rehearsals..

I'd loved to have seen the finished production, but distance precluded it . Hope they do a UK tour....

Oh that looks like a fun play :-)
