It should be interesting, Colin. Spielberg's stuff is, almost without exception, extremely watchable. I'll look out for it.

Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
1. Is it just dated?
2. Was it ever any good or funny?
3. Am I now officially in the miserable old git phase of life?
4. All of the above.
Because having sat down and watched it this week I found it just irritating.
Wooden acting from the geordie ensemble, so-so writing from Clement and Le Frenais no less and a couple of characters where you wanted to jump into the screen and smack them senseless.
Can't believe I ever enjoyed that show, nostalgia certainly ain't what it used to be.

I was never really into it, or even Boys From The Black Stuff, although the latter was a series broadcast after a successful drama of the same theme. The stand-alone drama (a TV play) was quite good. The series was more than a little maudlin.

French and Saunders do a great p*ss-take of Bleasdale, I wish I could find it on You Tube.

I don't find The Young Ones funny, and I never really did, just interesting and different.
