Nearly got the set
« on: February 04, 2010, 10:47:23 PM »
Having just joined this hallowed and illustrious forum (full of nutters - hence in good company), I have also dipped my toe into eBay.   Having realised that they won't accept toes as payment, I've resorted to using money, and have now become the proud owner of books 4, 5, 7, 9 and the colour collection (with #6 travelling by snail mail as I type).

Only Books 1, 2 and 3 left to collect to make my set complete.  Does anything special happen when all the books are together?  Do they become a critical mass and open up a portal to another dimension?

Help me, obi wan kettle . . . . . . . . . . .  Your'e my only hope.

No, I mean I've only got Book 14. It's my favourite.
I apologise, in advance.

I've got them all except for one. (Some I have two or three of.)
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Would you like to swap your Book 14 for my Book 14? I'd quite like to read yours.
I apologise, in advance.

nah. Mine is house trained and would miss the company of the others. And as for the newbies... Who knows what they might be like. Could be party animals. 14 declines the kind offer.

my favourite is #8, as she was the first I rescued. She has character, and despite being smaller, keeps the others in line. There are also some excellent vulture strips inside. She now has company from others of the same size.

I've got an extra Book 10, if anybody wants to send me £7003.99 for it.

Would a drawing of a £7003.99 note suffice?
I apologise, in advance.

Only if you drew it on the back of a cheque for a million pounds.

Talking of money, I have received a letter telling me I have won just over nine million euros in the Euromilliones Lottery in Spain. I don't need to disclose any personal details, or call any premium rate 09 numbers. All I need to do is call a Spanish number to claim my 'winings' and give five percent to the person who is acting as my agent.

It's amazing.

I haven't even entered the Euromilliones Lottery.

What's more amazing is that I haven't got a euro symbol on my keyboard... Actually I have! € And it works! Well, I'll be!  ;D
