I'm just watching Little Dorrit, and it occured to me that one of the great things about Charles Dickens' stories was the fantastic names he came up with for characters.
Names like: Oliver Twist, Sweedlepipe, Pickwick, Honeythunder, Bumble, Pumblechook, Fagin, etc., etc... I wonder if any other institutions could boast such fanciful names, and I, Peepmaster, fully intend to ask Tarquin Thunderthighs III, Roger Kettle, Fyodor, Calypso, Vulture, Mince and Colin if they know of such a place.

Fagin... Colin... They're great names!

I think Not The Nine O Clock News had a sketch where a number of Dickens-styled characters were used.
I once read that Dickens was so afraid of offending people who may have felt he used their names inappropriately, especially when applied to unsavoury characters, he came up with new ones.
We could come up with our own.
