One of my students doesn't know what "chuffed" means. Another thinks that "phew" is spelt "few". And everything they describe is "wonderful" or "amazing" or "superb". I clearly need to give them more work to do.
-
You're obviously a fine teacher, Mincey.
-
Which shall I teach first, Roger? I'd like you to list them in order of importance.
-
Start with the one who doesn't know what "chuffed" means. Tell him you're chuffed about his future.
-
And, while he looks it up, dump him.
-
It's a girl, actually.
-
Dump her.
-
She won't be too chuffed when she finds out it was your idea.
-
Don't be stupid. She doesn't know what "chuffed" means.
-
I am sure she will see you as "wonderful" and "superb" and "amazing". What do you think? Which two would you say best described you?
-
This is impossible to answer. I'll go for "amazing" and "superb", simply on an alphabetical basis.
-
That's good enough for me!
