Did anyone line up before the shops were open today?

No. The only way I would do that kind of buying is with a gun, and my Purdey is in the wash!

Vulch, you were up early this morning!
We've still got quite a lot of snow here and, predictably, most things have ground to a halt. Bins, which were due to be emptied last Wednesday, remain untouched and snow-covered on the pavements. It would seem that lorries and buses are incapable of getting through even a few inches of the white stuff. So there has been no Boxing Day bargain hunting for me---not that anything would have dragged me to those madhouses anyway. No, it was back to work for me yesterday and I really didn't mind.
B.A.H. (Beau, Andy, Horace) HUMBUG!

Not allowed near big crowds - not that I would normally anway, can think of only a few worse things to do voluntarily.

Thanks for the reminder though, Diane - M&S are having a sale and they still have their cheaper international delivery prices.

Very clever, Roger.  :)

I am going to hit the shops tomorrow if the roads are good as I have to take a kid in to get his eyes examined anyway. I like to buy a few ornaments each sale and then forget about them until the next year.

I am so used to ROger being clever that I don't even comment anymore.

I'm off to brave the snow and ice as well today. It's my son's 20th birthday so I'd better hit the shops. He's tall, slim and good-looking and I haven't liked him for several years.

I know what you mean Rog, my son is turning 18 on the 1st. I already bought his gift - two nice suitcases on wheels - I thought they would be handy. Hubby says that they are sending the message that it is time for him to go and therefore isn't a nice idea for a gift. Hubby's BD is on the 10th.

How many suitcases are you getting him?
