As most of you know, Beau Peep appears in the Daily Star---and has done since 1978. As most of you also know, the Daily Star is a tabloid which has a fondness for printing stories about the...er...more erotic side of life. I think it's time that I embraced this aspect of the newspaper that pays my wages and introduced a suitable theme.
"COLONEL IN VULTURE LOVE ROMP".
I'm sure there are other ideas......

I think Andrew should embrace the 3D revolution and learn to render his drawings on a computer, a la Striker. That way we could indeed have a computer-rendered Dennis posing for Cosmo, as Burt Reynolds did, or (as has been suggested) Vera for Page 3.
On that subject, I do remember a magazine special that Spitting Image produced in the 80s, which had Prince Andrew in a nude centrefold. They plonked about half a kilo of pork links where his todger should have featured. Once of the few genuine LOL moments, I guffawed.
Roger, have you ever thought of getting some specialists on board to create Beau Peep characters as 3D computer images? They would be great for promo purposes within the Star, in a sort of "what would Beau Peep look like in real life?" sort of deal.

Well. the computer game is still (slowly) rolling along. Maybe some images from that could be used at some stage.
Other Beau Peep news...
The new book should be around very soon.
The musical is coming on well. I've now heard eight or nine songs now and the whole thing is expected to be finished within a year.

This is even more exciting that the knitting thread.

I gave Beau a go, trying to give him more of a 3D look

Excellent, Malc---now, if you'll just complete the movie...

It's my fault---I knew I shouldn't have mentioned Beau Peep on this site!
-
Has the strip ever had a knitting theme, as a matter of interest?
-
Yes, it has! I seem to remember Mad Pierre knitting at some stage.

Don't leave us in suspense. What was he knitting?
-
No idea. I may have dreamt this.

My considered guess would be 'wool'.

I quiver with excitement in anticipation of all of the above.
