I'd stop inviting them around then, there's no place in society for bad guests. On a more serious note, locally people put clear plastic bottles, almost filled with water, lying around their garden, just one or two, allegedly it keeps cats away. There is also a non toxic spray you can buy which also deters them...I'm waiting for the one that works on humans.
