On November 28, this board will be nine years old. And looking back, there were some bloody good topics and posts from some bloody good members, many still active on the board, but also many who have been absent for some time. I wonder if a reunion could be sorted in the 41 days remaining.

Given Redundant is my second foray into Beau Peep territory, I agree there were some epic topics and posts, some so popular you could hardly keep up, it would be good to see some old names return to the fold. Sign me up for any efforts needed Mince, nice idea.

Personally I'd recommend an e-mail, to all active an inactive members [those we have e-mail addresses for], with a message along the lines of:
"On November 28th the Beau Peep Forum celebrates it's ninth birthday and we would like to invite everyone to pop in and say hello [or something equally vulgar]. If you haven't visited or posted for a while why not get all nostalgic and drop us a line or two? You might find you want to hang around after the 28th which would be awesome, either way please consider celebrating with us the birthday of the forum that is the next best thing to sex [Roger paid me to say that]."

That sounds good. We could send this to everyone by PM, in which case if they have Notify by email every time you receive a personal message, they will receive it by email. Or we could just send it by email. But I am not sure sending unsolicited emails is a good idea.

I don't know if I am normal, I suspect not, but I avoid any settings which add an e-mail to the mixture, so I am guessing most have similar settings. I get the unsolicited mail thing, but bear in mind this is a forum they originally signed up for, and it is largely comedic in its content, so I suspect few will get too offended if we send them a single e-mail, maybe we could include a note that it is a one off e-mail and won't be repeated etc?

Red, to see the words "sex Roger paid me" in a sentence was a tad uncomfortable. Please think about your phrasing in future.
Of course, the original Beau Peep site has been around for 15 years and I don't know if any of the data from that is still available. Off the top of my head, only Diane, Rob, The Peepmaster and I are still around. I've got nothing against trying to contact previous contributors but, generally speaking, people tend to leave sites because they have lost interest and/or moved on. If there IS some kind of virtual reunion, I'm not buying the cake. My income has been halved since the Mirror dropped our Horace strip. I will supply the crisps (one packet).

Yes, Red, please be careful. Roger is comfortable approving of sex with aliens and Bigfoot, and of declaring more than once his lack of sex with Jennifer Aniston, but slips like that might give people the wrong impression. ;D

Hi everyone. I had a text from a number I didn't recognise and thought it might have been from a weirdo.
It turned out to be from Mince, after I'd given up trying to guess, and him giving me the final clue, "it's Mince".
I hope to still call in - I have had distractions, and have neglected the place I suppose.
Just a thought, but maybe one of the reasons numbers have been low is because it was generally agreed that we didn't want anyone else coming aboard, locked the doors and pulled up the drawbridge. My hunch is that that tactic wouldn't have made a good recruiting sergeant. ..0

Yes, spammers are a curse. I opened registration and about a thousand spammers registered and tried to post (defeated by my fiendish permissions). I eventually got sick of deleting them all. So now you have to email contact@cameldung.co.uk to register, and it tells you this when you try to register.
