Title: Crutches instead of a chip pan

I was looking for a chip pan in a second hand shop (not available in shops anymore) - didn't have any but I got a pair of crutches for $5 instead.

My family have been mocking me but I think it was a sensible purchase.

Always better to need a chip pan than crutches. Makes perfect sense to me.

My wife sprained her ankle quite badly the other day. Walking with the aid of chip pans wouldn't help. Good shopping, Di!

Exactly, and if we lived closer, I would say please take these crutches.

I will be a mini-hero next time a neighbour needs help for only $5  ;D

I would never loan out a chip pan should I get one - they are as rare as hen's teeth.
