Don't  just look join in and be verbally abused by Tarquin and Peepmaster.
Be defended by all the others.
Go on you know it makes sense

Hi Diamond Lil. All done for free.
Every time I come on line and look who is on, there is ten guests.  Just think they could make  a contribution.

OK, Peter - can't promise I can make much of a contribution. :)  I've stopped being rude though, and logged on forever, so that's one less guest.  I usually come in for a look in the morning my time here in Sydney when most of you are snoozing probably, except for maybe Diane and Mince - noticed he's a bit of a night owl.  There's usually something to make me smile - sometimes I even laugh out loud. :D

Welcome Joan its nice to speak to a sensible person but beware of the others. I like the picture of your lab. I would like to put a picture on with my dogs but Mince wont show me how.
Mince has always been a night owl he seems to get up at 12 am then works afternoons and evenings then go on the board.

You mean you did not realise it was a photo, shame on you. I think it is quite flattering notice those dreamy eyes and the fine sculptured nose.

Greetings, Joan! :)

Take no notice of anyone.

So the quite seduction starts. Smooth but I was watching for it.

I like the idea of a "quite" seduction.
"Well, I was quite seduced". Peter, I can't help thinking you sound like Leslie Phillips.

Ah, now you see the reason I don't often post is partially contained in this thread.  If I take the time to work out all the little digs, innuendos, lines of thought, etc, I don't have time to post!  ;D In fact when I looked at this thread briefly yesterday a couple of things made me smile, then when I read it properly today I laughed out loud.  Does an old bird good to laugh in the morning.  Which brings me to one thing that made me smile ... Hi Vulture, where on earth did you get the impression that I am young blood?  I think I'm about three years younger than Roger, give or take three weeks, but me thinks that does not me a young person make.  ;)  Very flattered though.

Peter - "sensible"? Not sure I want to be that - come on here to get away from "sensible", but I'll try not to go too far off the sensible road. So keep up the deviations, guys, just leave Tarquin alone - he seems quite nice really.  Tarquin, you forget that I've been here before, so I know how they treat you.  I will resist all attempts at seduction. Don't let that put you off having a go, though - haven't been seduced for years, more's the pity.

Great to talk to you all - where's my fellow Ozscot, Malc gone?

Joan

If you read Joan's post you will find that it is missing a letter to make sense  the word she used was TOO the word she possible should have used TOOK

I think it was more the last couple of sentences that caused the confusion, Peter.

May I suggest that Peter intended to write something like, "Ah, the fallibility of the old! Mind you, I don't know how to spell either."?

Tarquin, you've spelt 'either' correctly. You get a red dotted line under a word that's not spelled correctly, so 'fallibility' must also be right.
