As things are quiet here at the moment, I suggest we do one of those stupid things where somebody writes the opening line of a story and then we all add to it bit by bit. Okay?
Olaf held the trout in his left hand and punched it with his right.

Gordon the trout ducked, then rebounded with a tail slap to Olaf's ruddy cheek.

....said the trout, playing the sympathy card, but the crowd was baying for more. That trout was going to get a battering, then a deep frying.

Then something strange happened, something fishy enough to be weird, but not fishy enough to warrant a pilchard joke from Peepmaster.

Olaf's mother had intended to call him Loaf, as in "Thick as two short loafs", but she could not spell, and wasn't too good with sayings either.
