...and Scottish football fan men at that.
Sorry to bring boring old sport into this but it's only one thread and I did post a warning to the ladies - Anyone got an idea who might be Scotland's new manager?
My money's on Burley
-
I rarely do what I'm told...
No idea.
-
Bring back Bertie!....
Aw, okay - Billy Davies or Paul Sturrock.
-
Have I missed something? Has McLeish been sacked already? Even before he's been in charge for a single game? This sounds more like Hearts.
-
I had to look too Elizabeth.
In these days of equal rights I am offended that we were left out of this conversation - I sure wish I knew something about football. I would say it right now. ;D
-
I was absolutely astounded too, Roger, and had to go and check, and yes, it appears that Scotland do still, in fact, have an international football team.
-
Oh, yeah, McLeish. I forgot.
-
Doesn't really matter much anyway - he'll just be keeping Walter's seat warm till he's free again...my guess will be about Christmas time.
-
What do you think, ladies?
-
What do you think, ladies?
What does your little lady think, Tarks?
-
Nige, I keep hearing the words "glass houses" in my head...
-
She knows nowt about football - she used to film Wolves matches.
-
Has she filmed Wolves' last six matches, all of which they've won, by chance....? (now where's that super-smug smiley...)
-
No, she filmed them when they were pants. That'd be before the last six matches.
-
Was McLeish made manager? Jeez the pony express is slow down here
-
Roy Aitken is part of the set up too.
-
No, she filmed them when they were pants.
Pantses with Wolves?
Bit embarrassing me being so far behind events. Two guys were talking about the issue at my football club last night, but McLeish was mentioned as a candidate, not the new manager - then I was on the BBC site and there was an article describing how Smith was in dispute with the SFA over Rangers' approach to him. Then there was an "update" saying he's signed with Rangers after all, and I'm sure that date was 8th March with no decision made as to the new manager.
Maybe the precise area I live in down under was stuck in a time warp.
-
Smith has been back at Rangers for about 3 months, Malc, and has pretty much turned them around----culminating in their 1-0 win over Celtic on Sunday. McCleish has been Scotland boss for about 2 months. His first competitive match is later this month against Georgia. Then Italy away. Help.
-
Help indeed!
Bloody Rangers - just when we were heading for another Argentina moment. I used to draw a strip for the Rangers News many moons ago. I feel deeply ashamed now.
-
Ah...BLUE MOON. I remember it well. You feel deeply ashamed? I work for The Daily Star!!!
-
Well, when they poach Walter Smith to be their editor, you too can feel deeply ashamed.
I thought Beau Peep was in the Times??? :o I may have to leave this forum.
-
(Great memory, by the way, Roger - I couldn't actually remember what it was called myself till I read your post)

Blue Moon made me think of Diane in the snow with that moose again...
