Did everyone get here?

Did everyone get here?
Where?
-
Thought you might have taken the opportunity to redecorate while all the furniture was moved to the middle of the room. Still, it's good to be settled again. Thank you, both.
-
I have to go down to Broadstairs for a few days, as my Mum decided to fall over and break a hip/leg. She's older than me so we need to give her some attention.
Anyway, the point is, I probably won't be able to help so much, Mince, so maybe Roger can assist.
-
Oops - I forgot to mention that I'd found the new forum...
...NOT to my liking!
(Only joking) LOL
-
Anyone taking bets on how long it takes Roger to get here?
-
Well, I know he's online, 'cos he's just posted elsewhere. Oh, dear - who will he get Mrs K to phone for help first?
-
Found it! ;D
-
i have found the new forum and i did'nt get lost
-
Made it also but I used satnav ;D
-
Well, I'm here but I couldn't get in directly. I had to click on a sidebar which showed the latest posts. I'm not sure I can start a new thread, for example. I want my mum.
-
I want my mum.
You may need to defrag for that, Roger.
-
It appears that the only way I can start a new thread is by clicking that sidebar then posting something on an established thread. When I click "enter", I'm being told the site is now "here" and I go round in circles. Is that cameldung address working yet? I REALLY want my mum.
-
Okay, what address should I use to get DIRECTLY to the forum?
-
Okay, what address should I use to get DIRECTLY to the forum?
Is this question for Mince or your Mum?
-
We were having dns issues earlier, Roger. Even though the nominet tag had been set up, NOMINET WhoIs were still saying that the name servers were with Easily (the ISP). I checked with them and they said the domain transfer request had been sent. The 2 dns numbers have now been passed on to the tech team at HostPapa (ISP No 2), we're just waiting for the server to pick up that cameldung's IP address is pointing properly. I may not have got that completely right, so maybe Mince can elaborate. He was talking about working on getting the Beau Peep strips to work in php. Not sure how much coding conversion he has to do. If he takes a break he can maybe add anything I've missed.
Anyway, that's it in a nutshell.
-
As I don't have a spiritualist handy, I'll go for Mince.
-
I was replying to Vulture and now you've just come in with a pile of gibberish. I'm going now.
-
I am not sure whether we will ever get www.cameldung.co.uk as the domain name so as a fallback I have asked for cameldung.co.uk as well.
At the moment, visit the old forum (www.board.beaupeep.com) and click the link to come here.
-

Gibberish... Roger, you're a genius! That's probably key to the server pointing issue. Mince! Mince! Look at Roger's post.
-
It's amazing how something innocuous from Roger points the way to solving this whole problem. Who would have thought?
-
Knocks php into a cocked hat.
-
Look, I could have told you gibberish if you'd only asked. Roger's not the only font of knowledge around here. I'm a font too. At least I think that's what they said.
-
Font... fount... now I'm getting confused.
Mince - did you email the code for giberi.sh-java shit to HostPapa?
(SHIT - Server Housed Info Tech, before anyone gets shocked!)

It was "HostPapa" that was worrying me. "Fount" - that was it... I think....
-
There's connection problems on www.board.beaupeep.com... I had to use my history to come back here.

After some of the stuff that Diane posts, we're unshockable!
-
I can still only get in here via the sidebar of recent posts. I have no direct route to the forum and I'm going to bed.

Code:sidebar, Mince. Have you a pearl script for that? (I know you're busy.) Can't believe Roger's come up with 2 great workarounds in one day!
-
Oops - I meant ".asp", not pearl. It's late. Sorry...

Don't know how I managed to miss this earlier, Peepsie. I wish you a safe journey and a speedy recovery for your Mum.

Thanks, Tranquil. She managed to get pulled over by her new dog, whilst getting out of a friend's car. It's caused a lot of inconvenience for a lot of us, especially me as I live so far away. However, I won't show my annoyance as it probably wouldn't be conducive to the healing process. The good thing is I get to drink Broadstairs beer again. Yippee! Every cloud, and all that.
Another thing is she'll be in hospital for a few weeks, so I'll have to cook my own meals while I'm down there. I thought they encouraged people to get up and active more quickly after surgery these days. ..0

I'm not sure, Peeps - it's been a few years since my last surgery. How soon were you back on your feet after your quadruple sympathy bypass?

I'm here - just - took me a couple of minutes to realise that I wasn't logged in - wondered why the time was all squee-whiff. Hope your Mum recovers quickly, Peeps. My Mum was in hospital for 14 weeks when she broke her leg at age 89. Amazed she managed to cope - and that the nurses did too! Could be quite difficult, my Mum!
Have to show you this photo I took while on my first "big" bushwalk for a while - level, but a lot longer than what I've been doing. Sheer fluke that it came out like this. I was actually muttering about it moving when I took the picture.

I couldn't remember my user name, that is why I'm late.

In my excitement to be back here I missed this too - there is always someone worse off than yourself it seems. Poor Peepmother.

That is a "National Geographic" quality photo Joan.

I wish your mum all the best, Peepmaster. Remind her that she is not the only one who has to put up with you. Perhaps the fact that we also suffer here on Beau Peep might be some consolation.
-
Haha, found it again (thanks for the email link Peepsie). And hope your old mum gets well soon.
-
Yes, much easier now. During the last few days, it was taking me seven clicks to get here. I'm exhausted.
-
Well I got here, but just like the orienteering escapades of my youth, everyone got here before me. Ho hum...

Your avatar's disappeared already, Zesty. Things are getting back to normal.
-
How's your Mum, Peeps? Are you down South already?
-
and i can see mine and everyone else's avatars ;D
-

She's in Good Spirits. (Which is an unusual name for a hospital, I'll grant you.) Seriously, she is looking well and quite upbeat.
Yes, I'm down south, and I'm having to fend for myself. I could tell she feels a bit guilty about that, because she wanted to give me the money for a takeaway last night. I didn't take it of course, I'm not that callous. It's not an ideal scenario though, obviously, but I'm used to looking after myself at home, so it's just an extension of that really.
-
I'm here, everybody! Phew, says you, that's a relief, Malc's here and all's right with the- what the hell's with the huge picture of me at the top of the page, but? Is everybody seeing that?
-
Don't worry, I fixed it. You click on the little "minus" sign, and it reverts to your avatar.
-
How's your Mum, Peeps? Are you down South already?
Update: I've just been over to see her at the hospital again. It really is no fun being stuck in one of those places, so I only stayed 30 minutes this time.

I have to give you top marks for being such a dutiful and caring son, Peeps. :P

Wow, Malc! You're certainly there - you do realise, viewing on my laptop, there's a little bar on your avatar photo that I have to move to see your right ear and shoulder. ..0
Diane, where on earth do you find these things - or have you just been online too long? ;D
-
I'm hoping she just copied and pasted it from somewhere. It would take an age to do otherwise.

Is it me or is the new forum agonisingly slow? Could you whack a few gallons of 4 star in your end Mincey?

And you think that'll make a difference??
-
I've not noticed any difference in the speed. I'm bringing myself into the twenty-first century in a couple of weeks and moving over to broadband. Hopefully then I'll notice some difference in the speed.
