Title: A Beau Peep Forum Nostalgia Type Quiz Thing
Post by: Jack on December 16, 2009, 01:11:54 AM
All questions and answers are based upon the false premise that all posts on these forums are to be taken sincerely.

PM your answers to whomever you want to PM your answers to. Me, if you want a chance of winning.

The winner may or may not get a prize, depending on if anybody wants to give them one. I certainly won't be providing anything.

Jack, I really didn't know that anyone was paying any attention around here. I don't even know the answers to the questions about me, and not only that but I don't know the answers about me.

I will get a notebook and take notes in the new year so this doesn't happen to me again next year!

Now where did I put my pen?

Good grief, Jack, how long did all that take you? I think I might know about two answers.

It's a great competition. I've got the first 5 answers so far. (I'm going through methodically.)

1) Roger Kettle, on 1st December 2006
2) Mince - 12th Feb 2007
3) Mold - March 2007
4) Malc - on May 12th 2007
5) "and Jed"

From the poem:

Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, and Jamie,
Were all most erstwhile friends of mine
Whose names were all the samey.
But Jack, Jo, Jeff, Jules, Jenny, Jill and Jed
Had differing names - although they shared
The letter with which they led.

Good grief, Jack, how long did all that take you? I think I might know about two answers.

Not all that long, it was just a case of clicking through threads at random.

The most time-consuming part was trying not to get too bogged down in just reading full threads. There's a great deal of entertaining stuff to be found here.

The second most time-consuming part was trying to work out what Peter was talking about most of the time.

Edited to add: I just noticed that this was my 101st post, which means that the quiz itself was my 100th post on the Beau Peep forums (not counting the 3-5 previous versions of course - Oh, for the old Bravenet notice board that couldn't even keep track of such trivial statistics). Anyway, whilst completely accidental, I'm now quite pleased to have marked this small milestone with something appropriately nostalgic.

You're quite right Jack. It's real fun going back to old threads, and re-reading some of the old piffle we used to come out with. It's worth doing the quiz just for that alone.

Congrats on reaching 100 by the way.

And there we were thinking you had too much time on your hands, Jack.

100 posts?

Slacker!

Hey, if you add on posts from previous versions of the boards, the number goes up to at least double that!

I guess some people do prefer a little dinner before lusting looking at xmas avatars. It doesn't bother me a bit - I'm sitting here eating a chicken/bacon fajita whilst lusting reading.
