This was featured on the Crooks and Liars site and I thought it had the right quirkiness, likeability and stick-in-your head quailities to become our official Beau Peep Forum theme tune.

I like it!
-
Me too!
-
Me three!
-
Perfect! Who's going to do the lyrics?
-
Here's my attempt.
From the top (it will help if you read along with the music playing... :-\ )
The Beau Peep Forum is the one.
Where you can laugh with everyone.
And join in the fun.
The Beau Peep Forum is the one.
Where to join in all the fun,
You must laugh at everyone.
They come from all over.
They come from all over.
Come from all over
Just. To. See. What. Is. Going. On.
They come from all over.
They come from all over.
From all over
Just. To. Get. In. On. The. Fun.
Read about this and that and him and her and them and us and nothing and all and ups and downs and ins and outs and wheres and whys and hows and whos and this and that and towns and books and jokes and quests and peas and queues and past and present and fiction and facts and not forgetting Roger's cats.
The Beau Peep Forum is the one.
Where you can have a laugh with everyone.

Well them there look like mighty fine lyrics Tom - I wonder if there would be anyway that Nige, with his karaoke experiance, could be persuaded to sing your lyrics with the background music with Lucy recording it?
-
I've just knocked this together, it might make it easier to read along.
I couldn't post the video, but clicking on the image below will take you to my special Beau Peep Photobucket page where you can play the video. It's very rough, sorry about that!

Amazing, Tom!
Can you add the harmonies now?
-
Fantastic!!
-
Yes, indeed - great stuff, Tom. But I was still struggling with matching your lyrics to the tune a little. Some of it didn't seem to scan as well as it might. This may be down to my lack of imagination or a musical ear, but I think we desperately need Peepmaster's skills in the recording studio ASAP to clarify this, especially if we intend to have this as a contender for this year's Christmas Number 1 (we don't want it to narrowly miss out, and be forever thrown upon the pile of Number 2s).
Step up to the plate, Peepsie!

Just had a thought...given my failing memory, can I still use a song sheet when the BP choir first convenes?
-
No, I agree Tarks, it is a little out of sync, but it's just to give an idea of where the words should go. My professional film studio on my yacht would have matched them perfectly, but I'm not on my yacht this week, so had to make do with the Windows Movie Maker. I was thinking of asking Katherine Jenkins to supply some backing hums - what do you think?
Song sheets will be fine, Lil. The choir will first record it in the studio, and then it can be mimed on the video shoot.
That is if this is chosen as the Beau Peep Forum Feem - I'm sure other forum members would like to contribute their own lyrics.
:) ;)
-
Fantastic! sounds like country music. Well done Tom :D
-
Thanks, Lucy.
I can't really take the credit though, as Malc discovered the music, and the man (I don't even know his name - how bad's that?) played it! I just sprinkled in a few letters.
-
Tom, you take all the credit you want, that is a smashing gesture and a great effort. All I did was stumble across a jolly tune by accident and think: "I wonder if I should foist this on the BP forum"? like I usually do.
-
glad you did!

I'd be very happy to oblige, but, as I mentioned before, Lucy sent her flipcam back to Amazon after only recording a few of my songs, as it appeared to develop a malfunction (she said).

One should not give up so easily Peeps, did Beethoven give up when he broke his first paintbrush?

Good thinking, Diane. I could maybe buy her another one for her birthday next month. I need to get back out there on YouTube.
