Title: HAPPY VIP BIRTHDAY today
Post by: Bilthehut on June 23, 2010, 12:00:50 AM
Happy Birthday Roger (STICK IT TO THE MAN) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaURlRt0fsA&hl#)

Could have got a pirate ship flying the Jolly Roger, but this was so much nicer.

Enjoy the cake, Roger

This one is for colouring in, or following the maze - always nice to have something fun to do on your birthday.

Happy Birthday, Roger!  Hope you have a wonderful day.  Great Smörgåsbord of entertainment there from Bill.  I have to rush out, and won't be back till late, so will just give you my usual:

Oh yes - Happy Birthday, Roger. If it wasn't for you, there wouldn't be this forum.

I was just reading a review of an Andy Capp computer game:

"In this game you play the role of Andy Capp the hard drinking northern layabout from the comic strip in the British newspaper The Mirror. The main idea of the game is to keep your alchometer as full as possible while avoid being arrested for fighting various characters including your own wife. You can stop people in the street by blowing a kiss at them. When you stand next to the person you interact by either giving them an item, talking to them or beating them up."

It looks as though everyone has said everything before me, so:

Happy Birthday, Roger!

Thanks, all. (Bill, WAY beyond the call of duty!)
It's a glorious day and, as is my Wednesday usual, I'm off to play golf. Since I appear to be a VIP, is there a private VIP lounge on this site where I can sit and get free drinks served to me?
Thanks again.

But, as we are not VIPs, I don't know if you are automatically included.

Thanks again, everyone.
It may be temporary, but all the YouTube clips have disappeared from my screen. They were fine this morning---anyone else having problems?

Har-har!

What Peepsie is referring to is the fact that my birthday offering to Roger is an adaptation of a cartoon I did for a 'Caption Competition' last week, on a theme of 'Pirates' in another forum populated by crazy cartoonists. No-one got it, and I got 'null points' in the judging, so I thought it probably had a more natural home here, hence it's appearance, and Peepsie's sarcasm.  :P

It had nothing to do with me not being arsed to bake a cake, and I did make several alterations to it, at no inconsiderable cost to my time.

Hope you won the golf, Roger, and you know I was only jesting about your cartoon piracy, unlike your dear wife.

I DID win the golf today---even though Fyodor had an amazing eagle two at one hole. (Non-golfers, that's when...well, it's not really worth explaining).
Loved the cartoon, mate.

Sorry I didn't go to any effort this year. When I saw Bill's post at 50s into the day I lost my will to live.

Tarks, Thanks for explaining Peepsie's sour note. If you didn't get any benefit from its first outing, you should have the right to recycle it. You did amend it for Roger and it was good.
Diane, don't give in. You produce fantastic work for us all. I'm just trying to make an effort (and I did have spare time as I've been bored at this NATO meeting) and was able to prepare for the important event. I was going to post after my midnight, but then thought that that would not look well when time-stamped on the forum.

Back to my birthday, if you don't mind....
I'm currently wearing a 19th Century Native American  pipestone necklace from Minnesota and looking at  book called "Songs of Thule", which was published by the Historical Collection of the British Library and was written by my great grandfather, Laurence James Nicolson. How cool is that?
Actually, I've just had to take the necklace off. It's bloody heavy.

So sorry. I thought "VIP" was a member I had never heard of.

Happy Birthday, Roger!
