Okay, I need the step-by-step guide.
I start at the YouTube video I want to post.
Do I click "share"?
What do I do then?
Er...what do I do next?
Um...what do I do after that?
In the old days, I used to click on something on the top left of my screen which offered "paste" and "copy" options. These appear to have gone.
By the way, how's the weather with you?

Why don't you first try to copy the following in blue and post it into a post of your own.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtoefxZGR6U

Just highlight it, right click with the mouse, and choose copy. Then paste it into your post. Or just type it in manually.

Did you not READ my post? Highlight how? Copy how? When I could successfully post stuff from YouTube, I referred to a paste and copy gizmo at the top left of my screen which is no longer there.
I WANT TO POST A YOUTUBE VIDEO---TELL ME HOW TO DO IT STEP BY STEP!!!

Okay, which browser are you using? Internet Explorer? Chrome? Firefox?

STEP 1: Find the youtube video you want, locate the URL for it at the top of the browser, and click anywhere in the URL, and it will highlight (turn blue).

Are you with me so far?

Well, yes and no, but have I clicked "share" yet? What's the "top of the browser"? I tried to highlight the link you sent a couple of posts ago and nothing happened. My head hurts and I'm going to bed.

I do honestly think it would be easier of I jumped on my car and drove the 300 miles to Kettle Towers to show him how to cut and paste. But I know he'd just make me cups of coffee and insist we talk about football and cartoons instead. .

By the way, the percussion at the end of that instructional video reminded me of the intro to the great 'HOW' TV programme of my youth. Oh, how Fred, Jack, Jon and Bunty would enjoy this thread if any of them were alive today. Actually, two of them are - but which two? I'll tell you how to find out...next week........

You can drive 300 miles on your car? Damn show off! Great cartoonist AND a stunt driver? Too many talents in the one man.

I think this has the makings of a very funny thread, or even a comedy sketch  ;D

Okay, let's show Roger how it's done. I'm going for a song by James Blunt called Carry You Home.

And done.

EDIT: And it took me 33 seconds. Now let's see if Roger can beat that.

Should have taken longer Mince, all I get is "The uploader has not made this video available in your country".  This may relate to my country being the Isle of Man.   On average it is listed on less than a third of website country lists, and occasionally disappears altogether from maps of the British Isles.

Maybe you could ask Dennis?

At the risk of seeming like a smarty pants...

You don't even need the URL link as there is one labelled YouTube on this board - also you can just cut and paste the URL from the top of the page rather than do the step asking for it.

By the way, this video was picked totally at random......

I know how to do it now but I'm not going to.

Course you do, let's face it, with my instructions even a complete numpty would be able to do it...

Well if you change your mind...I shall now not bother clicking on the link.

Roger's always wanted to be a numpty, but he lacked the intelligence.

I really enjoyed those, Roger (far, far more than yon Blunt fellah).

I can see why your folks sold the hotel though - bloomin' steam trains crashing through Reception every 30 seconds.

Congratulations on your YouTube success! Or as we Scots pronounce it, 'Ya Choob'!

Better the Red Mince effect than the Red Mist, you're welcome  :)   Enjoyed the much awaited video's as well, anyone who can use paramour in a song gets my vote.   And in the spirit of sharing, here's my brother-in-law who's stage name is "Fake Thackray" on the UK Folk Circuit.   He's currently writing an authorised biography of his hero, Jake Thackray.

I enjoyed that a lot. Took me back to Jake's appearances on The Braden Beat. At least, I think he was on that---can't be arsed to google it!
