...tried to get clever last night, lovely moon hidden behind light cloud with trees in foreground.  Guess my manual focus needs a little adjusting, or perhaps I shouldn't have mislaid my glasses at such an opportune time...

Thanks Roger, I'm fine with them, just frustrated they didn't turn out as I wanted, but that's the price you pay trying to get the camera to do what you think it should do, rather than the camera making all the decisions.  I shall persevere and continue to have Homer Simpson moments, fortunately, now and again [and usually by accident] I almost get what I was trying for, close enough for me to keep trying anyway!

I saw this on FB a week or so ago - at least yours was in fact a moon - and a moon with a cute little grin.
