It all started almost a week ago when someone said that it was six months from last Monday until Christmas Day.
My head is full of what has to be done but most importantly, I need some gastronomic advice.... Diane? Mince?
Is it too early to start cooking the sprouts??
-
Isn't it after the last bang of Fireworks Night that women begin thinking about what to cook at Christmas?
-
I don't like to serve them al dente
-
At least you can cook at the last moment. I have to come up with a Christmas book for my wife this year, after missing the last two years. You can't do something like that at the last moment. Have I only half a year left now?

Half a year minus six days

Al dente sprouts are the best! Those mushy ones are for toothless people. As for (steak?) Diane and Mince? Well, it ain't turkey, but a change is a s good as a rest. I'll be having the traditional pizza.

In your case....
No, I'm going to resist the obvious. It's my new year's resolution, and I've only broken it 382 times so far.

You just want to see me panic!
-
You could grow some sprouts right now - just think how proud you will be on Christmas day saying "these came from me own garden" :D
-
Good idea, thanks. Given my brother's love of sprouts he is going to be SO excited when I arrive on Christmas Eve clutching a bag of my home grown ones.
-
That's next year's present sorted: Sproutidemic.
-
;D

Or perhaps a golf club made of brussel sprouts.
I did consider one year sending Roger instructions on how to construct a lifesize cardboard Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, along with the cardboard tube from a toilet roll as the first part (highlighted on the diagram).
