A bald mans thoughts
I think I want to sit awhile
And remember how it was
When fire burned inside my veins
And I had hair
Some memories sit, congealed
Like pizza gone cold
But some sit like the bread pudding
My mum used to make
Almost forgotten names and places
Of things that should remain
Hurts done or done unto
Fresh as yesterday’s rain
I think that I’ll just sit awhile
And dream of days long gone
When the sun was always shining
And I had hair
