OK - apart from noticing that all of the numbers will be a mutiple of 9, I'm stumped!

Sorry Mince, that should have been "all of the numbers will be multiples of 9" or "each of the numbers will be a multiple of 9". Still stumped though.

You got it, Elizabeth. If you check the table at the end, every multiple of nine shares the same symbol. It relies on you looking at only your answer, and thus not noticing this fact, and the table disappears pretty sharpish after it 'guesses' your answer. Clever though.
