I notice that Horace always has a spotlessly white outfit on. There must be a good dry-cleaners in his town. (As it's a hand-drawn cartoon, perhaps its "Sketch-leys". Ha ha ha ha ha ha guffaw)
What is the name of the town by the way?
-
I bet it ends in "Gulch", as in "Dry Gulch" or "Dead Man's Gulch".
-
I have no idea what the town is called. Why don't you come up with a name?

Four Feather Falls (http://www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/tv/children/gerrya/fffalls.wav) (gawd, that takes me back!)
Slightly-Unwell Girl's Valley (Hasn't quite got the impact of Dead Man's Gulch I'll admit)
-
Prat Falls?
-
Bestofthree Falls?
-
Drogba Falls.

Cuddfa.
(That's welsh for hiding place)

This topic was so out of date a red text warning popped up and asked me politely to consider starting a new topic.
Well no-one politely asks ME what to do.
Cuddfa? My knowledge of Welsh tells me that word is pronounced Cuth-far. This made me think of the thnake and that'th how he would pronoun the word "cuss". Then I switched the words around so that the town was "Far Cuss", then I imagined two female characters, one who asks the other where Horace was going:
"he's going to Far Cuss".
"well he could at LEAST buy us a drink first".
Around about this point I started realising I had too much time on my hands.

It's best not to upset a message board, Malc. They can become nasty.

Bet it is the same one as the Lone Ranger
-
The same what? Same town, or same dry cleaners?
Was there one specific town in the Lone Ranger series?
I just googled and there was a town called Frontier Town in the 1948 series (radio, I think) Also I read there's a town called Red Butte.
Anything ending in "Butte" is good for town names in Westerns as it seems so redolent of the genre.
How about a town sign which says "Red Butte" except that the last "e" is dangling off a nail.
This leaves a number of possible versions:
Big Butt
Fat Butt
Buffalo Butt
Well, three.
On reflection, I like Pratt Falls.

I was thinking of cleaners
Just another thought why was he the LONE ranger when he was always with Tonto
I hope he was not the Gay Ranger

If you read this as two sentences, the second one could be mistaken for a question.
-
A question?
Were does the Lone ranger take his rubbish

To the dump to the dump to the dump dump dump

To the dump to the dump to the dump dump dump
To the DU-U-U-U-U-UMP to the dump dump dump.
-
The sad bit about this is that I actually read through the whole thing, singing it in my head.
