Title: Peter's Taste in Music
Post by: Vulture on February 12, 2008, 11:36:54 PM
Just as a matter of interest, Peter, have you ever crashed your car and, if so, what music was playing at the time?

Surely the music would have been Sergei Prokofiev's "Peter and the Golf"

I think you are mistaken, Peepsie. That was not by Prokofiev - that was Ludwig Van Beethoven's brother, Hertz.

I once came a cropper on the M1. Nothing too serious, but my car was a write-off. In fact the only thing that still worked was the car radio, and I had to sit amidst a mass of mangled metal, listening to Tony Blackburn gleefully telling me what a beautiful day it was. If I didn't hate him before then...

I meant to ask. What prompted such a deep and searching question, Vult?

yes and dont know

I got the impression that you were listening to:

You broke my heart 'cos I couldn't dance
You didn't even want me around.
But now I'm back (ooh my bloody finger)

and the audience in the back seat objected to it AND your driving......  :D :D :D

My husband knows all the words to Six White Boomers - he sings it every Christmas usually by request.

I like Meatloaf but not the others. What about Robbie Williams, Queen and Chopin?

Speaking of Elgar, did you know he was a Wolves fan? Apparently he wrote the first known football chant.

It wasn't this one:

I was born under a Wanderer's scarf,
I was born under a Wanderer's scarf,
Do you know where Hell is?
Hell is at West Brom,
Heaven is at Molineux,
And that's where we are from.
I was born under a Wanderer's scarf,
A Wanderer's, Wanderer's scarf,

I think you Wolves supporters should start singing "Six White Boomers". I've no idea why but I think you should.

Next Wolves' game, I'll try singing it at the top of my voice, Roger.

Not sure they'll hear it all the way from Rothesay, and I'm sure I'll get some funny looks in the High Street...  ::)

Would you please actually do that, Peepsie, and get Lucy to video it. Then post it on YouTube for us all to see?

Ta!

I can't for a minute imagine that Lucy will be able to do anything as technical as that. (And I don't mind women not having that kind of proficiency, by the way).
