Beau: "Yes, it's quite possible that it is a love-letter from Vera addressed to you, Dennis"
Beau: "But there are certain tiny, but tell-tale clues why that isn't the case"
Beau: "Like the way it's got "To the Four-Eyed Muppet" written on the front"
-
I think there's perhaps an over-reliance on the phrase "four-eyed muppet" to sway the jury.
I use the word "jury" loosely, of course.

Good God!
-
Sorry - forgot the comma.
-
Tarquin is a moron, right?
-
Sorry. That was meant to read: "Tarquin, is a moron right?" But I think morons are always wrong.

Hmm - the word just appears twice in the same speech bubble. Points should be dropped for that.

Yes, but wasn't it clever the way I got the phrase in, considering it's only Beau doing the talking! Genius should be appreciated.

I'll no doubt keep that in mind when judging the competition.
-
Genius should be appreciated.
Don't worry. I am.
-
It must be really easy.
How do you get the text in the speech bubble's?
Do you need to save the frame then add then post it again?
I want it to look good and not like some half hearted effort where I just
write the text underneath. ;D
I think points should be deducted for that, it's so lazy.
So how do I add the text again.?
-
If you have a good arty programme like Photoshop or Painter, then you can redraw the whole thing and write in the words, like what Mince and Peepsie have done, Colin. They are clearly very good at copying, and not at all lazy.
Hope that's helpful.
-
And Malc is quite good at it too.
-
1) Colin, right-click the Beau Peep strip on this site, then click "Copy" from the drop menu which appears.
2) Then open Photoshop or whatever graphic package you have loaded and click "New".
A blank box should appear. Click Ctrl V and the Beau Peep strip should appear in that box.
3) You then need to alter the speech balloons using your own text, and save
4) this is the tricky bit. You need to upload it to a site somewhere. If you don't have your own site, The best way is to establish your own blog, this can be done with freebie software.
5) Once the strip is uploaded to your site, right-click on it, and go to "Properties" on your drop menu.
Highlight and ctrl C the URL address which appears there.
6) Then come to this site, click on the little "image" icon at the top of this post reply box and ctr V the address between the brackets, like this: (http://)

Thanks for the help ;D

I trust the seasonal relevance will make up for the lack of 'four-eyed moppet'.
-
That's a nasty paper cut on Beau there, Diane.
Get well soon!
-
I'm awarding this one to Dianne.
What do you want the poem to be about?
-
World peace and spelling my name right.
-
You've got it. Give me a day or so.

This would have been my losing entry:
All from Beau:
"I think this could be from Vera, Denis!"
"It is! She says she's really impressed by your letter."
"It's the nicest 'k' she's ever been sent."
