Every time my granddaughter arrives, she insists we get her bricks out and build a house for one of her toys. Then it's time to make plasticine bananas for her stuffed monkey, followed by a game of hide and seek. Then I sleep for two hours...

Lego and Plasticine - it's a joyous time warp!

Me, too - but I couldn't see any thermometer holes. Thank goodness it didn't need thawing!

I had a fabulous Christmas Day with family, shoe-horned between the busiest Festive working period I can ever recall, between extra newspaper work and live caricaturing days at the Gleneagles Hotel (there are worse places to spend the Christmas/New Year week, even when you're working). Apologies for not responding sooner, but I've hardly been home for the past four days, and I'll be working the next four (not complaining!). Looking forward to putting my feet up on January 1st, and playing with my new toys...

A belated Merry Christmas to you all, and a very happy New Year when it arrives.

Oh, and a link to this year's animated Christmas card... https://youtu.be/43kN_OtIrCc

At first glance, I thought that Pikachu was your turkey!

Thanks Roger!

We are having a later dinner today too. The turkey is riddled with holes from the meat thermometer but is just not co-operating lol

My son surprised me with a bloody big Pikachu - I mean massive. I LOVE it :-)

Wishing peace and joy to everyone.

I hope you all have a wonderful time. The Kettle gathering will consist of eight adults and one very excited two and a half year old. I will be donning my Beau Peep apron (anyone still got one of those?) to prepare the Christmas meal which we eat around 5.30. At around 4.30, I will be joined in the kitchen by a generous gin and tonic. Cheers!
Enjoy yourselves!

I bet she makes you walk to the pillar box to post them too, Roger. Life is so unfair at times!

My wife buys all the Christmas cards, writes a message in each of them, addresses the envelopes and then asks me to sign my name alongside hers. For some reason, when I say "Just go ahead and write my name---nobody will know", it does not go down well.

Canada Post has been on strike for about a month now. No one will be getting Christmas Cards from me this year for this reason, instead of not getting Christmas Cards from me due to me being a lazy git.

You saw parts of Canada that I have never seen Nige!

We in northern Alberta are under snowfall warning (up to 50cm) and that is on top of the snow we already had and already cleared out the driveway last week. I have a plan to spend the day tidying up and Christmas decorating. I am one of those oldies that have CDs of Christmas tunes so that of course is the first step in a decorate plan, blasting Bouble.

I am still playing Pokemon, been trying to get a Shiny Wooloo (black sheep) for three months so was happy to catch one last night at the Santa parade. You may think this is odd but there is a whole Facebook group called "Old Ladies Playing Pokemon" so I am not odd by myself.

Hope everyone is starting to feel a bit christmassy
