We’ve been in Canada for a week. Really enjoyed it and the weather’s been mild and sunny. Visited Montreal first and are currently in Quebec. Sadly having to start our journey home tomorrow. Haven’t seen any moose or Diane.

I feel bad for your family, Roger. Never have they had the delight of trying to stifle laughter on a busy train while reading the story of the Nomad having been undone by a mac wearing, furiously biting scorpion...

I have books 4-9, 12 and the colour collection. My uncle died a few years ago and as my Mum and Dad dealt with his estate, they excitedly told me there were some Beau Peep books and that they were mine if I wanted.

I instinctively said yes - and now I have 2 book 5s and 2 book 9s...

If you DM me your address (are there DMs on this page?) Mince , I'll send you those two volumes.

I have never been to a pub quiz but think they look like such cozy nights out especially after watching the Detectorists.

My other son puts Youtube quizzes on the TV when he visits and we are supposed to shout out the answers - I think its his way of checking to see if his parents should be in "Shady Meadows" so there is pressure on us to try our best.

When he was a young teenager, my son promised to stop rocking our seat at the top of the stuck Ferris Wheel in exchange for my BP books when I die. So no luck from me.

With Roger's permission, I put book #1 online many years ago.

They were quite cheap. Even Book 1 cost only a half crown, or 120 farthings if you prefer.

I still have the complete set. I remain the only member of my family who has even glanced at them!

I used to proudly own most of the Beau Peep books, but then friends began noticing and sneering, telling me that I would be bullied relentlessly if word got out, so I sold them.

So if anyone has any they are willing to lend for free permanently, that would be cool.

Apparently, Book 2 sells for £50.
