For some reason, when I say "Just go ahead and write my name---nobody will know", it does not go down well.

We in northern Alberta are under snowfall warning (up to 50cm) and that is on top of the snow we already had and already cleared out the driveway last week. I have a plan to spend the day tidying up and Christmas decorating. I am one of those oldies that have CDs of Christmas tunes so that of course is the first step in a decorate plan, blasting Bouble.
I am still playing Pokemon, been trying to get a Shiny Wooloo (black sheep) for three months so was happy to catch one last night at the Santa parade. You may think this is odd but there is a whole Facebook group called "Old Ladies Playing Pokemon" so I am not odd by myself.
Hope everyone is starting to feel a bit christmassy

« Last post by Mince on November 18, 2024, 09:09:18 AM »I read a really good book a few years ago, it had a bit with a Sasquatch family and was supposedly based on a true story. "The Long Walk" by Slavomir Rawicz - you might enjoy it too. It also has a bit with a bear.
I'm confused. You're saying a family of mythical North-American Sasquatch were holidaying in the Gobi Desert, Tibet, or the Himalayas in 1941?

During a tea-break, one of them turned to a cap-wearing colleague and said that he "looked like Andy Capp". He then turned to my son and said "You probably don't know who I'm talking about". Now, I was writing Andy Capp at the time and his response was not "MY DAD WRITES ANDY CAPP!" It was "I've heard of it". I absolutely love that!
Wow! Me too! I laughed just as much when I heard my daughter say to her friend, "Yes, I have heard of dark energy and primordial black holes."

Thanks a lot for the offer, but I'm not going to put you to the trouble or the cost given their very low price on eBay. Book 1 or 2 are a different matter of course.
