People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

Happy birthday, Colin. No one told me about this Celtic win...
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

I'm still Celtic/United, and have been since a kid, but it hasn't really been fun supporting the Celts for many a long year since the days of Saint Jim's Dundee Utd and Sir Alex's Aberdeen. The New Firm (as was) really knocked the wheels off the Old Firm's wagon. As I'm sure I have said here previously, the SPL is a procession every year, the big story of 2012 being the Gers' financial woes. For fun I now support my "local" (Ayrshire) SPL side, Kilmarnock, who admittedly just got gubbed 6-0 by a Celtic team all too powerful for the SPL, but thank god for the cup competitions, which allow the minnows to shine, Kilmarnock having recently beaten the mighty Celts to win the Scottish League Cup.

I've been keeping an eye out for Kilmarnock's results too this year, since two of our ex-players (Paul Heffernan, Dean Shiels) are currently playing there.

To be honest I wish we still had both of them. First team in the (English) football league to be relegated this year. :(
