I admire flightless birds like ostriches and hens. These are creatures that have been given the necessary equipment for flight but have decided against it. "Look, thanks for the wings and everything but nah! I think I'll just walk, if it's all the same to you." I feel that this shows a wonderful spirit of independence.
It's a bit like whales and dolphins. I mean, if you can't actually breathe underwater, the ocean is probably not the best place to live but off they went anyway. I admire that.
Finally, hyenas. Now they don't have a great life. It's REALLY hot in Africa, virtually all the competing predators are tougher than them and they only get to eat when the lions get bored with rancid zebra. And STILL they laugh. I admire that.
