Roger - Unused Ideas

How many unused ideas do you have floating around?

At any given time, probably one or two. They're usually ideas that I think are quite good but haven't worked out the best way to use them. About 20 years ago, I wrote down the words "Dennis---missing, presumed dead" on a scrap of paper. I was convinced this would make great series.
Still haven't worked it out.

Oh, and I have scores if not hundreds of ideas knocking about at any time, written in old books and on old strips.

Like Roger, I have some which I wrote a while back, but then forgot about. I have a couple at the moment I'm chewing over. One features a feeble little old widow weeping at a cemetary, surrounded by her respectful relatives. She's saying "my only regret is we never made that sex tape".

I don't even know if that works.

These are all scrawled on rough drawings for other cartoons:
"Buxom girl files forms - man says 'since Gail's been HR, absenteeism's down 50%' " which is pure SAX, but I can New Yorker it by having a whole boardroom of suits with on overtly buxom young woman sitting amongst them.

Another: "Couple dine at restaurant. Man holds woman's hand- 'Yes, I'm looking for a permanent relationship. Investment too' ".

I've mentioned this elsewhere but I once found a scribble which said "Dennis llama". I couldn't remember what it was about. Did I intend Dennis to get a pet llama? On closer inspection, I realised that the note said "Dentist 11 a.m.".

It would be funny if Dennis was sold a llama instead of a camel. In fact it would be funny if Dennis was sold a goat as a rare miniature humpless camel. Then the goat goes on to eat everything.


Oh the hilarity.
