Tech help
« on: November 28, 2010, 12:21:02 AM »
Okay, so I downloaded some MP3 files from the internet (a few different versions of “The Night Before Christmas” to be played from the float that the library is putting in the Santa Parade) – was able to get them on a CD that will play on my computer – but CD player won’t play them. HELP?

Where did you burn them from on to the CD, Diane? What I mean is, did you use something like Windows Media Player, or did you just burn the files on to the CD?  If you burn them using Media Player to create a CD, I would have thought your CD player would play it.

Joan I did use windows media and ticked off the right "music" choice but put them on a DVD disk not a CD disk. Don't have a CD disk on hand but once I do will that fix it if I put them on that?

Using the CD instead of DVD should work, but you should be using Windows Media Player http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/windows-media-player/using (you may have an earlier version, which is fine) and clicking on "burn".  Don't think that's what you're talking about. They may play if you just copy the files, but that would depend on your cd player. Should definitely play if you create a music cd.

I replied on FB too.  :)

Not to worry Roger, it's all sorted now.

Thanks Joan  :)

I never let you know how that worked out. Not so well - it would play on my cheapie CD player that skips so they brought in a "Getto Blaster" - I guess it was too old to take the CD type so it had to be played from the inside of the cab of the truck with the windows open - we could hardly hear it as we walked next to the truck but they were deafend inside.

that got us worried

Who's 'us'?

Peter, Mince's Dad, and 'im!

I thought that, but was not sure that Mince is speaking yet.

Yes, he's speaking. They just need to train him to walk now.

In a straight line?
