Diane, OR if you don't want to raise a mortgage to pay Calmac (ferries) get your tail over to sunny Girvan where I will be all weekend at the folk festival.

You even get to see a Wicker Man burning on Sunday, sadly no Edward Woodward though.  ;D

OK wasn't intending to mark the occasion but SWMBO has decreeded that we are going to spent the day in front of the TV watching it! I am thinking of taking a leaf of of the late, great, Denis Tatcher's book - 'hipflask containing a large portion of the 'electric soup', inbibe deeply, fall asleep...' Actually sounds like a perfect day!

Malc,

Quite agree, free speech and all that, what a boring world it would be, if we all agreed on everything.

I see your Lady Prime Minister, the Welsh one, is here for the wedding, do you think she will bring you home a peice of cake?

My guess is she will scoff the lot, have a good time in the London sunshine (bar tomorrow when it will be quite damp) and
enjoy the first class flight home.

I am still playing golf, as for shooting a birdie, not much chance of that, at the moment I can't hit a cows bum with a banjo!

I'm no expert in golfing equipment, but I think I've spotted your problem...

Just saw the dress - breathtaking!
And they look so much in love.
I'm filling up.

:-)

I am worn out with the Royal Wedding - I stayed up to 6:00 AM then had a couple of hours sleep before I had to run to get my kid over to the Jazz competition. THe wedding sure was lovely though - I was most impressed with the sounds made in the abby.  :)
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

Was at a very civilised time for us here - from about 7pm and apart from hubby switching over to the football (rugby league) every now and again, saw most of it. I even had a glass of bubbly, which went straight to my head as I'd been on antibiotics and hadn't had a drink for 2 weeks.

Best bits for me were Westminster Abbey, the music, the horses and I thought her dress was lovely.
