The television has been paused by the wife, who is elsewhere. The screen shows a woman in a field walking towards a man about thirty feet away, with trees and what looks like a herd of small animals in the background, so perhaps they are on safari.

The subtitle reads: We actually met the other day in the elevator. I think the 'actually' is wrongly said, and that the woman (or man) is just saying as a reminder We met the other day in the elevator. But if the 'actually' is correct, it's interesting to see the possibilities that the stressing of a word or phrase gives.

For example, and assuming the woman is the one talking:

We actually met the other day in the elevator. Here she is correcting him on where they met, perhaps annoyed that he cannot remember where he first saw her.

We actually met the other day in the elevator. Here she is correcting him on when they met.

We actually met the other day in the elevator. Here she is surprised that they met. Perhaps it's a large elevator.

We actually met the other day in the elevator. Here she is surprised that two other people didn't meet in the elevator rather than them.

We actually met the other day in the elevator. Perhaps sometimes they meet underneath it.

Of course, there are other possibilities, and it might be the man talking, but it's intriguing, along with why they would have this conversation in a field near a herd of wild animals.

Never let your wife pause the television and go elsewhere again.

Yes, I guess that was my problem.

Apparently the film has Harrison Ford in it, and it's a favourite of hers, though she may be talking about a completely different film, because this is based on the paused face of Ford when I walked into the room later in the day.

I'll have words with her.

I actually gave a toss until I read this post today.
