Unintentional Intimidation
« on: March 13, 2007, 03:50:37 PM »
Several of the posters here are comic strip or cartoon writers; in other words, humour is their work. Then there are the other posters, including me, who are not. I can see that some members, and indeed guests to the board, might at times be intimidated in some way and feel that their wit does not quite make the mark, and thus be discouraged from posting. I guess you could see it as an oppressive climate of superiority - it's difficult to put into words. Anyway, all I am saying is that if my superior wit has been intimidating the rest of you lately, I apologise.

Well, I wouldn't quite call me a "professional", but thanks anyway.

I'll bet that's a big weight off your shoulders getting all that out.

I don?t worry that there are humor giants among us ? there is more to life than being funny ? I have my cooking tips and online quizzes and folksy tales about moose and such like, and let's not forget how I organize the Beau Peep Christmas panto most years.

There is room in the world for all types.  :)
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

I'm looking at Colin's avatar, the falling Madonna with the big boobies, and I'm trying to figure out what she is saying.
There should be a prize for the most convincing answer.

Gosh, I'd never noticed she was speaking before. Well spotted, Malc.
I apologise, in advance.
