Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Some of the newer posters will not know about Kate, she was a long time contributor to the first two Beau Peep notice boards. This Saturday is the first anniversary of her untimely passing. Our thoughts are with you Max.
Please feel free to add your favourite Seattle Kate quips
Kate on BB code: Peepster, d'ya think you could put that in English? I'm not so very fluent in Swahili. I'm working on it, though. Really, though, it's not something I NEED, correct?
Kate on Animal Rights: Much as I might want to kick the cat with you, Kettle, I can't. I sprained my ankle and I walk like a wounded pony.
Kate the philanthropist on behalf of cartoon characters: Hey Andrew ... if Dennis can't have a bike, can Egon have a kettle barbecue?
Kate on shopping: Ask Scampbell but I am the Queen of Taking It Back.
Okay, let?s remember what Max had to say about Kate taking it back?"Yes I have to admit I was unaware of the American way of knowing your rights, then beating people over the head with them.
Coming from the more genteel world of business, where a raised eyebrow or off the record remark can speak volumes, it was a shock to see an American at work.
However the results were very satisfactory, haven't seen a store manager go from ebullient to grovelling in such a short time EVER.
I think Ms Kate deserves a place on my negotiation team."
Kate on keeping life in perspective: Perspective, folks. Perspective. It can all be tragic. However, I found a picture of my father and me together, Dad laughing at some stupid thing I was doing. It's the only picture of us I have. So, to me, things aren't so bad.
