Take off the first two words from the song, "I see", and you have the same sequence.

Skies of: Twinkle
Blue: Twinkle
Red Roses: Little
Too: Star
I see 'em: How I
Bloom: Wonder
For me and: What you
You: Are

Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

It may be a help to you, but you're still wrong.

Tap out the respective tunes on any iStylophone and you'll get the following sequences:

Twinkle Twinkle...
CC GG AA G
FF EE DD C

Wonderful World (from "I see")
CC G AAA G
FFF E DDDC

Completely different!

I apologise, in advance.

I'm with Pilch. It's the same tune. (That little snippet.)

It's the same tune.   ??? ???
I don't know why everyone's so worried about swine flu - pilchardism seems to be rife and Peeps has caught it!

I'm wth you, Vulch---this whole Mince/Peeps alliance is very unsettling.

Although they are different, they are similar.

I think it's the same melody, for that main verse. It's just another example of popular music ripping off the Classics which previously ripped off popular music. Twinkle Twinkle wasn't written by Mozart, but he did compose a series of melodies based on what was a popular folk melody.

There are innumerable (literally) examples in music where hits are revealed as thinly disguised versions of something or other by Puccini or Bizet, etc, etc. Lloyd Webber has made a career out of it.

You're being slightly pedantic, Tarks, old bean.

as Eric Morecombe said it may have all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order.
