Well, I suppose it's time...
« on: December 21, 2009, 08:58:11 PM »
Have a great Christmas, everyone. By my reckoning, this will be the tenth that we've shared on this site so that makes it a bit special. I realise that not all of you have been around for all those years but, like all families, we've had some additions and some losses along the way. Maybe we can imagine a virtual Christmas dinner table where we all get together and raise a glass or two. I won't sit Nige next to Mince.
So Merry Christmas, you lot, and I hope you get everything you wish for. A special mention for Joan who might not feel up to cooking our virtual Christmas dinner this year. We'll let you off but you're in charge next year.

Yes, Season's Greetings everyone!  ;D

I'm tone deaf, but I'll bring my harp to the virtual dinner table where you'll all be in awe of the beautiful festive sounds I will create. I'll bring the sprouts too!  ;D

Good news. Word reaches me that Mince has finally got a bird this Christmas.

However, I can't remember whether it's a goose or a turkey.

I heard that Mince was trying to impress Feather with his manly ways and shot his first turkey. Scared the hell out of the shoppers in the frozen food section of Tescos.

I think it's more likely to be a nut roast - rather apt in his case!

Okay so I stole that joke from the status updates at Facebook.

Well, I'm off to Cyprus later tonight for 2 weeks (assuming Exeter Airport isn't frozen up) so a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Peep fans.

Don't know about the rest of you (Diane excepted) but we're pretty much guaranteed a white Christmas here. We've got four or five inches of snow at the moment and the forecast for the next few days is for it to remain about freezing. I think a moonlit walk in the Christmas Eve snow is in order but I have the feeling my 19 year-old son will look at me sideways when I suggest it.

It's not very often that we have snow here, but at the moment it is falling thick and fast! And settling too!

I know it causes all kinds of problems, but I find it very relaxing just to watch the snow fall - almost magical! It's proper Christmas snow - usually only seen on Christmas cards!  ;D

Wishing you all a merry christmas - I love this little happy place called Beau Peepland.

We are off for a quick overnight trip to the in-laws for xmas eve then we will have an early lunch and hit the road again and be home to look after the dogs and cows xmas day night - eight hour trip each way if the roads are good.

Bye for now,
Diane
