Happy Birthday, Diamond Lil.

We celebrated last night with an Indian takeaway and a glass of wine but today's the day. It's quite interesting to reminisce when you get to our age. We spend ten minutes actually reminiscing and two hours trying to remember the names of the people we're reminiscing about.

Thank you all for the good wishes.  I'd also like especially to thank TTIII for arranging the private audience with the two Neils and to Peeps for my reminding him of Lilo Lil :-\.  To Fyodor for not being a gentleman and daring to ask my age... I want to thank Senga for being the best hair stylist anyone could wish for, Chardonnay for make up and Julian for always managing to back light me.  To my brother, sincere thanks for the dhal and Drambuie and to my sister-in-law for the tea party and best quote of the weekend....
Me: my friends in the States are saying that the gloss seems to be rubbing off Obama
Sister-in-law: so what colour is he now?

It looks like I may have over-run the allocated 45 seconds for speeches but hey! if it's good enough for Jeff Bridges .......
