No, Diane. As Fyodor quite rightly pointed out, I now need a car. The trouble is that by the time you've spent a fortune on driving lessons, plus twenty-odd quid for the theory test, plus sixty-odd quid for the practical test, plus however much the provisional license cost in the first place... now that I've passed, I can't actually afford a car, let alone the insurance.
Still, at least I'll have an incredibly expensive form of ID, in the unlikely event that I ever need to show ID for anything.
