In the Kingdom of the Angry Rhinoceros: - All major public areas are now watched by police surveillance cameras.
- It has now been made illegal to make racist remarks in public.
- Employers have been given the right to fire workers without giving any reason.
- Following new legislation, the government is avowedly atheist.
- The latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller.
In the Kingdom of Upper Tomsland:- Following new legislation, punitive tariffs protect local industry.
- Citizens have been given the right to decide which government departments their income tax goes to.
- Military spending is on the increase.
- Extreme political groups are now outlawed.
- Genetic researchers have been expelled from the country.
- Organ donation rates have hit a new low.
- Meat is a luxury afforded only to the wealthy.
- Giraffes are considered a delicacy.
- The latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller.
In the Republic of Werdelarwe:- The death penalty has been reintroduced.
- The right to free speech is being drastically curtailed.
- Married couples must now call each other "darling" or risk a fine.
- Organ donation has been made compulsory.
- College students make ends meet by selling their kidneys.
- Public nudity is now encouraged, and citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked.
- The alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit.
- Flat hedgehogs are considered a delicacy.
Govermental Reclassifications:- The Kingdom of the Angry Rhinoceros was reclassified from "Father Knows Best State" to "Compulsory Consumerist State", before becoming a "Corporate Police State".
- The Kingdom of Upper Tomsland was reclassified from "New York Times Democracy" to "Inoffensive Centrist Democracy".
- The Republic of Werdelarwe moved in the opposite direction, being reclassified from "Democratic Socialists" first to "Inoffensive Centrist Democracy", and finally to "New York Times Democracy".
