Lucy has surprised me with tickets to see the show, Spamalot, in Edinburgh this weekend. I'm delighted. Hotel booked too. Bit wary about being on the east coast of the country as I've heard people on that side can be a bit looney... But I do like Edinburgh - so I can't wait!

Sorry, Diane - I've unblocked it. I do tend to block lots of the frivolous stuff that imposes itself on me, and must have done that in the process with your application by accident. I have so much stuff to read through from various relatives, friends, colleagues etc., plus the individual FB pages associated with my websites to manage, that I constantly try and simplify it, (and allow me time to post my excruciating puns).

Don't you just love the English language? You can say "I just ate your cake with my fork." or "I just ate your cake with my mouth.", but it's odd how you can also say "I just ate your cake with my capuccino." I guess the word "with" has many meanings, and in Tarquin's case it means "while I was drinking", as in "I just ate your cake while I was drinking my capuccino." I momentarily got the image of Tarquin using his capuccino to eat Peep's cake - oh, happy belated birthday, by the way, Peepmaster - and that image made me snigger a bit. But that's English for you.
