But "with" is English.

Good to see you, Mincey. You're often missed around here. **** off! (Those are English asterisks, by the way.)
I apologise, in advance.

Really enjoyed Spamalot.

I mentioned on another forum that a pub next to the theatre has a sign outside that I feel Monty Python would have loved. I'm pretty sure I saw it the last time I was in Edinburgh, a few weeks ago, so I'm sure it's a genuine offer.

Oh, and thanks for your kind wishes, Tranquil, but not for eating my cake with your mouth, (or was it your capuccino?).

Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

I think "capuccino" is Italian.

So, he ate his cake with his Italian?  Does he have an Italian Army knife with a fork?  Or does he have a tame italian who helps him eat his cake.

How am I supposed to remember when people's birthdays are? Can't we have some sort of system on this board, kind of like a reminders thingy - anything will do: perhaps someone can start a topic every time it's someone's birthday, something like that.

Oh, happy birthday, Peemaster.

Thanks, Mincie. We're recycling old threads. Isn't that environmentally friendly!

We are also economising on bandwidth by serving up old cakes...

Just for the record I've never been a tart. In case anyone was wondering.

Happy Birthday, Nige! Hope you had a great one and that Lucy treated you to a slap-up meal in Rothesay's finest.
