Ah, being stuck in a blizzard in Scotland - that brings back memories!
I heard about the storm on Saturday night from a friend who lives in Invergordon, or somewhere near there, anyway. My sister, who lives in Balerno in the Pentlands, had missed most of it until Saturday night (very unusual, as they normally get it before anyone else). She was worried she wouldn't get her Christmas shopping done, as they'd said it was going to continue snowing for the next 2 weeks. Happy, though, that she retired this year and doesn't have to stress about driving across Edinburgh to work.
I'm okay. I've just had a gin and marmalade.
Yes, but how's Mary? She obviously didn't get/isn't back with the tonic, if you've resorted to marmalade with your gin. I jolly well hope you're not sitting there snug as a bug while she's out in the wilds of snowy Dundee hunting down your tonic! You're going on report, if so, Mr Kettle!
Can you tell I'm in a grumpy mood this morning? Need my second cup of coffee.
