Update on the tomato rant of 2011

I got a letter of appology both for the overcharging and the poor service from the store manager. I also got a refund for my total receipt of $26.71 on the one hand, that is a bit embarrasing like I am some kind of crazy lady or something - on the other hand I wish I had now put a new BBQ on that receipt. 

It won't happen next year as I found my heritage tomato seeds this week when cleaning up.

You shouldn't feel embarrassed, Diane. It's usually store policy here to refund the lot if a mistake is made in pricing, but just for the price of the item. Yes, you should have gone for the $3,000 barbecue.

i had my bottle of booze confiscated at Schipol Airport - 1 litre bottle of hazel nut baileys, 2 bottles of korean rice wine and 2 bottles of Korean Fruity wine , apparently we are not allowed to carry it on hand luggage since it's not bought in any EU country! KLM airline had choice to put it on hold but was told airline so busy they can't accommodate extra luggage. Security at Airport been very helpful and advised us to file complaint and get refund from either KLM or SK Duty Free.

Diane , I'm sure you can give me some advise, I will normally just forget and leave it but this experience upset me a lot  :'(

I suggested as much, in a quite nice way, and the guys appeared quite offended and assured me that it was all destroyed. Lucy had bought a lot of the stuff as gifts, and was quite upset. I told her that it didn't detract from the kindness of her motives.
