Christmas Carol
« on: December 06, 2011, 12:28:33 PM »
I thought we could all create a new Beau Peep Christmas Carol. I have made a start with what I hope presents a suitable theme for the carol.

Jingle Bells. Peepmaster Smells. Best keep out his way.

Good Beau Peep fans all looked out
On the feast of Stephen
When the snow lay round about?
Deep and crisp and even?
Brightly shone the moon that night?
Though the frost was cruel?
When a pilchard came in sight?
It was Mince the foo-ool

"Hither, page, and stand by me?
If thou know'st it, telling?
Yonder pilchard, who is he??
Where and what his dwelling?"?
"Sire, he lives a few leagues down?
Underneath the ocean?
Right amidst a coral reef?
With his mates, the plankton."??

"Bring me fish food, bring it now?
Bring me fish flakes hither?
Thou and I will see him dine?
When we bear him thither."?
Page and Peep fans forth they went?
Forth they went together?
Through the rude wind's wild lament?
And the bitter weather??

"Sire, the night is darker now?
And the wind blows stronger?
Fails my heart, I know not how,?
I can go no longer."?
"Mark my footsteps, my good page?
Tread thou in them boldly?
We must feed that watery twat,?
Freeze thy blood less coldly."??

In his master's steps he trod?
Where the snow lay dinted?
Heading towards that fish-faced sod?
(Who was quite demented)?
Therefore, Beau Peep fans, be sure?
Wealth or rank possessing?
Ye who help the aquatic Mince?
Will receive a blessing ?
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid there sans his head

The stars in the bright sky
Shone down on Jack
A cute little boy
Hiding a doll’s head behind his back.

The owl it was hooting
The pussycat purred
As Roger pranced about with a blue card
Looking absurd.

The Golliwog danced
With the lamppost with glee
Malc was perturbed
It don’t look right to me!

Diane was an Angel
Who carried on with her knitting
With only 10 days to Christmas
It was only fitting.

The audience was awestruck
Kiddies cried on their lap
Bill was pointing a gun at them
With a sign that said CLAP!

After the show
There was Christmas cake
And rolled out chocolate logs
That Joan did bake.

Bless all the dear Peepsters
(and Mince) In Thy tender care
And take us to the pub
To raise a few glasses there.

I like mine, I think Nige's is a bit fishy.

With the current MOD views on expenditure, a gun that says 'Clap!' seems quite appropriate.  Although 'BANG!' would be the norm.

I'm very honoured that my cake is included in Diane's carol! Now I have to go and try to bake those chocolate logs, Diane! Kate wants a black forest cake!!! Think I'll stick with the chocolate logs. Merry Christmas, everyone.

I burned out my mixer making the snowflake cookies - but your cake did inspire me Joan.  :)

 :)

The clip was so good, it was featured on the BBC Breakfast TV show this morning.

And drove fear into the hearts of all the UK's enemies I'm sure.  ;D
