Were your ears burning last night?

They should have been!

The cartoonist convention in Birmingham went swimmingly. Just so no-one feels left out, here's a little souvenir of our high-level talks...

Next time, everyone's invited round Mince's house!

Is it all over already? I thought it would be going on for a few days at least.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

Is there supposed to be a picture there? On my monitor all I can see is a little red cross in a white box.

If it's a kiss, then thank you.

Well, I touched down in Dundee about 90 minutes ago on the new super-service flight, direct from Birmingham. A 50-seater, propeller-driven plane with ten passengers on board and, for some reason, a Croatian crew. Ah, well---I'm home.
A splendid evening was had with Tarks and his lovely partner----a fine meal and some sparkling conversation which ranged from cartoonists all the way to cartooning. How the ladies laughed! Nah, only kidding but we did raise a glass to the wee band who get together on this site. A fine, fine night.
Like Malc, I can see nothing of the picture Tarks has posted. If, as I fear, it may feature my own good self at midnight in Birmingham, I'm rather glad I can't.

I can see Tarks' photo now. I can honestly say I've never looked better.

Apologies, Mince - do forgive my gaff gaffe. Mince Mansion it is then!

Diane, if only! You can get too much of a good thing, but in any case, cartoonists are always reluctant to take too much time away from the studio, being as we are a vital cog in the emergency services. The safety of the public must come first.

Malc, hopefully you can see it now also. If you're still having problems let me know and I can email you the picture. Sorry - it's not a kiss on this occasion.

I must look into this Croatian Airline service to Dundee International Airport as a possible alternative to my regular drives up the M6. Do they stop at service stations en route?
I apologise, in advance.

Only twice. Once to refuel and once to let the pilot buy cigarettes.

Still can't see that image. The photo I mean,

The image of a swarthy, unshaven Croat pilot landing to buy ciggies, yeah I can see that.

Malc, I've emailed you the picture using the email address on your profile for this site. Er...that IS your email address, isn't it?
I apologise, in advance.

Roger - next time fly Cathay Pacific! The service is wonderful. I only did Hong Kong to Manila with them, but it was far better than the BA flight from London to Hong Kong. Hong Kong airport is stylish and clean. We had coffee in a small cafe whilst waiting for the connection. A jazz band was playing in the corner. Stylish.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Yes, Hong Kong Airport is stylish and clean, Singapore airport is stylish and clean, and this is all to lull you into a sense of false security.

Then you leave the airport and drink the water. Then you get a severe dose of the diahuurrea -ho-hi-hay. I'm giving you fair warning.

To protect the innocent of course, Malc.

A jazz band was playing in the corner. Stylish.

Might be something you could suggest to CalMac for the Bute ferry ports, Peepsie. Glad to hear you're lovin' it!
I apologise, in advance.
