Sorry I've not been around much recently but a hectic, work-related period and a serious illness in my wife's family have taken up most of my time.
Anyway, enough of that. My amazing mother-in-law was round for lunch yesterday (she's 92 and smart as a whip) and was talking about her Christmas in Salisbury. She'd been at the Christmas service at the cathedral there and described the scene where the Archbishop(?) had walked down the aisle, followed by a choirboy waving an incense-burner. I couldn't help telling her about the joke involving the same scene in Glasgow. A member of the congregation had pointed at the choirboy and shouted " Hoi, son! Yer handbag's on fire!"
